...Great Course
Hi Mike...
I have really enjoyed this course as to the professional way in which it is set out you really have covered every thing and have done a champ of a job. I have printed every unit out on my printer for future reference and now have turned these into 4 textbook / handbooks as a guideline for an operations manual for my self as I believe the onus is always on ourself to future our study and skills not only in the field but as well through what we have learnt within this course and I am looking forward to completing my first investigation. I am guessing that I'm very lucky to be able to branch into this field with relative ease as I am all ready in the circle of things having done security now for several years over a broad range, of duties and having a mate that runs an investigation business within town helps very much so.
Thanks Mike
I would refer any one towards your course.

Great feedback
Hi Michael,
I received great feedback from the participants who met with Pat last week, they found him very approachable, genuine and helpful in this process. Can you please pass this feedback onto him.
Thanks

...Thanks for your support
If it wasn't for ASA & Mike Evans, I would still be trying to become an investigator.
Now after a short time and a lot of support I have a great job making good money.
Continued training with ASA will only make me better at what I do.
Mike Evans has shown me that a little hard work and a good educator is all worth it.
Thanks for your support Mike it is appreciated and respected.

Wow factor
Hi Michael,
It's been a while and hopefully you remember me. Just wanted to let you know what I'm up to these days (PI wise).
Without getting a sniff of any work, I was contacted by a Melbourne company to do surveillance for a stress claim. As my first job it was nerve wracking and after 4 days didn't even see the subject. I did two other small jobs which progressed me further each time. Then, come December last year, I was swamped by one company and literally had to knock the work back. Then in January this year, they hired me for a long term infiltration. I've been doing that ever since. It's great, the money is good and have since purchased a Mobile phone and bagcam. I still need some practice with the equipment but i'll get there. The best part is i'm working with another PI and getting tips off him all the time. The case is an international high profile job and should hold me in good stead with this company.

...Help with Book
Mike,
Thank you so much for your valued assistance and support.
Several sections in the book are directly as a result of your comments, including some on garbage searches, ethics on locating persons and response to confrontation.
The book finally passed with flying colours (but still needs a final board approval, though this is now only an administrative step) so next step is printing and distribution.
I will be in touch, Thanks,

Hi Mike,
thanks for your time today and I came away from the meeting really motivated. I think there is a large market available to work on here and was thinking about it on the way home. For instance: Councils, Workcover, University, Department of Health etc

Assistance appreciated
Hi Mike
Thank you very much for your guidance in respect of the Workcover tender and direction of our industry in general.
Sadly, I fully agree that customer service and professionalism appear to be lacking in certain concerns of the industry.
Im certain that Public criminal investigators and private civil investigators would require a slightly different skill set based on available resources, client requirements and finances. I can absolutely see that your training is real world and Im sure it is an eye-opener to many of your students.
A firm that can combine skilled and experienced operators, with a professional and customer-focused service has to be in with a chance!
Look forward to continuing to share ideas. Thanks again!
Kind regards

...Expereinced ex police x 2 and enjoyed the course
Dear Mike,
Both Glenn and I really enjoyed your course the other day. I am just writing
to express my interest in running training programs for you in the future as
we spoke about. My areas of expertise are statement taking, interviewing
skills, scene inspection, giving evidence, preparing briefs, cross
examination techniques, gathering information and other relevant skills from
my policing background..please consider me for future courses and I am
prepared to travel if required. I also am a qualified journalist with a
Bachelor degree in Journalism/Communications and have taught speech drama
to adults and students for many years, so I am very use to speaking in front
of people. I am also interested in the Risk Managment side of things and am
keen to enrol into this course with your organisation in the near future.
Thankyou

I'm in!
Good morning Michael!
Thought I would let you know that I am now an 'employee' of XXXXXX - these guys are awesome! The interview lasted for 3.45 hours - but I would not consider the session an interview - just a get to know you with the guys revealing a lot about themselves as well! They have the most unbelievable backgrounds and I am sure I will learn so much from these professionals!
The one thing I did 'stuff' up a little was they threw some of the legal/insurance jargon at me and I had a complete mental blank - but all ended well - just told them I need assistance with the jargon and asked them for the assistance - which they have readily given by the way of all of their induction material/manuals - so now its reading reading reading. I go down to XXXXXXXprobably next week for training/induction/buddying and then it's out into the big big world - yeeeeeeeeeeha bring it on!
I got the impression the partners are pretty pleased to have me on board - have given them scope to expand using my research capabilities as well which they have already indicated they are considering doing. They have already adopted the back of my business card and will be using it for their own cards and literature - the who.what.where blablabla.
Now off to do some pretty intensive reading eeeeeeeeeeeek!
Thankyou for your support Michael....

Unsolicited Reference 2
I have known Mike Evans since 2002 when I commenced a course with the Australian Security Academy for a Certificate 3 and 4 in Investigative Services. I am very happy with the way the course was conducted and Mike has great knowledge of the industry. I learnt many new skills and acquired a job with an investigation company after I had completed the course. I am also very happy with the support and training Mike has provided over the last 3 years and he always makes time to talk to me when I ring him for advice.

To whom it may concern,
Over the past 3 years I have completed the Certificate 3 and 4 in Investigative Services and Certificate IV in Government
Fraud Control with the Australian Security Academy.
I was very happy with professional way that Mike Evans
conducted the courses and I was very impressed with his broad
knowledge of the investiagtion industry and other associated
industries.
I have learnt many new skills through the Australian Security

...Happy
Dear Mike
Just a quick update
Since obtaining my investigators licence through your company in 2002 and
being assisted in obtaining employment within the industry through your
contacts I have subsequently been continually employed by both large and
small Investigation companies where I have obtained for the most excellent
results where possible. The training, and advice you gave and still give is
both informative and relative to today's role as an investigator.
Currently I have undertaken a wider variety of surveillance matters with
smaller companies in order to carry out a more varied range of tasks. It has
been invaluable to be able to contact you in regards to advice in certain
situations and also to have you refer work my way.
It is my opinion that in addition to your training and developmental along
with assistance in obtaining employment we as investigators also have to
make an effort to obtain results and sell ourselves as professionals to
employers rather than expect everything to be handed to us. My experience is
that employers will allocate work to driven, motivated individuals who make
an effort to actively seek work as opposed to a person who is less
enthusiastic.
Hope to catch up in the near future.

...I have a job
Well basically I have a job yeah!!!!!! It was definitely no formal process at all, just a chat and she was more telling me about the type of work they have to do etc and structure of their business. They are in Prospect Road Fortitude Valley. She was happy for me to start as a sub contractor to see if I liked it and buddy up with a mentor etc. Start in Feb and have a little training etc. Do business around my area and whatever other area I wish to. Do as much as I wish to. Sounds like the perfect job !!. At this stage I need to furnish referees x NZ and she needs to get some authorisation as you said re Work Cover etc and should be fine. I had mentally prepared all this fab garb to recite and didn't need to at all. She only asked a few questions regarding what I used to do, that was it. More she wanted me to ask her questions really should I wish to.
So thank you so much for your help.

Gained Work
Hi Mike
Just a quick one to first of all thankyou for the certificate, I like the colour and so do the people at Verifact. Verifact offered me a position as a sub contractor and are teaching me a lot of investigative techniques.
Im doing MVA, SMV, Public liability, workers comp, CTP and personal injury so my career has blown up to be a very respectable earner and I am getting as much work as I can keep up with.
I really have hit the big time and it really is because of your help and that of a couple of other select nice guys. I might just get over there in the near future to thank you personally mate.
Anyway I have a mountain of work and a trip down south to work out for a public liability one for a dog biting some one so I will go now and will still keep you in the loop now and then.
Again thanks for all you have done and if there is anything you need just let me know.
